By late 1996, as we operated Alliance PrePress, a successful trade shop digital service bureau with two locations in New Orleans, we noticed that we were experiencing the same severe problems which most small to medium sized commercial printers faced…

We along with commercial printers all over the country were faced with choosing and buying computers and output devices from different manufacturers and companies and then were forced to struggle “on our own” to make them all work together. This was no easy task! Lack of support for the existing application software products only added to the problem. Also extremely large investments were required to acquire the necessary imaging and scanning hardware, file servers, workstations, desktop publishing and prepress workflow applications. All of these things were essential, and a better way to acquire them needed to be provided.

With the unusual but necessary combination of real world prepress applications knowledge we possessed, our hard working and knowledgeable technical staff along with our professional and experienced sales support, we were able to create an organization that not only supported the necessary prepress and printing products printers required, but also the printer himself. We were competent in showing him not just how to make it all work, but in addition, how to sell the benefits of the new technology it to his clients in order to compete and become more profitable.
 
With over 50 years of combined experience in digital and analog graphics and prepress, we have been able to provide much needed products and product configurations, personalized service and support to the southeast region of the United States. We have helped hundreds of commercial printers and publishers grow their businesses, increase profitability, streamline processes and increase efficiencies by providing technologies that enable them to overcome the many challenges facing small businesses today and compete well in their respective markets.

We were one of the first companies to provide service and support on both cross platform networks using both Macintosh and PC computers. We installed the first Inkjet MatchPrint digital proofing system and were the first to install the ECRM Violet CTP systems in Louisiana and Mississippi. We installed the first basysPrint CTcP system utilizing conventional plates in one of our daily newspaper clients in the South.
